Speaks his mind on music & movies!
It all starts on the parallel bars and goes for a shit from there. Clouseau tries his hand at his old “specialty” the bars. He ends up flinging himself off and down some stairs into a study where he doesn’t miss a beat and goes right into questioning the staff who are gathered there.
What an entrance and what an interrogation. You know when he’s caressing the bars that it’s going to go bad. There are so many good bits in this scene. Slapstick with a little danger thrown in. When Sellers hits the bee keeper with the mace ball, CB was killing himself. Sellers manages to squeeze more comedy into this scene than CB could handle. Peter Sellers is a Babyhead fave. This is a Seller’s shmoz at it’s best.
You want a good belly laugh, watch this. Looking for high brow humor, not here. Just be careful and keep your head up. That glove and mace are deadly. Just ask the bee keeper, the bee and the Steinway.
