CB Travels Into the Future

images (8)

CB decided to jump on a time machine and travel into the future, check things out.  He’s been stuck in the 70’s for a while and wanted to hear what was going on with more current music.

‘Wild Stab’ is an album by The I Don’t Cares.  The TIDC’s are Paul Westerberg and Juliana Hatfield.  I listened to the album and was knocked out.  The best new music I’ve heard for a while.  It was like hearing from an old friend.   I can’t get it off the turntable (“Belter of a record” says Tony over at Mumbling About).  I’m going to defer the take to one of my favorite music guys ‘catchgroove’.  He absolutely has his ear on the pulse of this album (and many more) and the artists involved.  I’d like to thank him for being my guest and letting me piggyback on this one.  So here is the link to a great piece on a really great album.  Read and enjoy.  Hope it prompts you to give it a spin.

Yup, surprisingly good comeback from Westerberg (although Stereo from 2002 is my favourite solo album from him). Hope he comes up with another new album soon.

I would have stumbled onto this record eventually but because of the good stuff I find on this blog thing, catchgroove prompted me right way. The proof is in the listening. It was nice to come out of the cave and her this one. Thanks for commenting.

He’s one of the very best! I’m getting a lot of listening out of this one I tell you. Keep pumping out these reviews on music like this. Saves me a lot of work and hit and miss. Thanks again.

    Hi, CB.
You can’t go wrong with Westerberg. He’s ragged and raw. I listened to a few tracks and loved them.
    See ya’.

Yeah it’s real good. I’ve been listening to it pretty steady. ‘King of America’ is already stuck in my head. catchgroove does a good job. Thanks for piping in.
