Speaks his mind on music & movies!
Hazel is driving down the road in his beat- up old car. The thing shouldn’t be on the road. He’s pulled over by a cop who soon figures out that he isn’t going to reason with Haze. After a little back and forth the cop asks Hazel to follow him “I want to show you a view”. They both pull over at the view location, the cop asks Hazel to get out of the car so he can see the view better. The cop goes over to Hazel’s car reaches in the car window turns the wheel, puts the car in neutral then walks behind the car and gives it a push. The car coasts down a hill and into a lake.
That’s how you get a piece of shit car off the road.
Brad Dorif as Hazel and Dan Albright as the cop are perfect. The interplay between the two is priceless. Cop all subtle and underplayed and Hazel all tense and on edge. Great little scene from a real good movie. Some more of John Huston’s touch. A Babyhead favorite. He’s owned cars like that.
