After hearing this song who wouldn’t want to go to KC.
Love the beat, rhythm, lyrics, voice. This song got Babyhead up snapping his fingers and dancing. Piano drives it with the drums carrying the beat. Cool little guitar break rocks also. But its Wilbert Harrison’s laid back, cool delivery that catches the soul of the song He knows what he’s singing about. He’s been there and makes you want go there to.
An all time cool song. One of the ones you dig forever. Just makes you feel good.
So grab a dance partner and hit the floor and shake it down to Kansas City. Meet ya there.

Great song. Never been there. My understanding is that there’s actually no Twelfth Street and Vine. Must go to KC one day in only for BBQ.
