Single : Waterloo Sunset – The Kinks

download (40)

Babyhead hears the opening of ‘Waterloo Sunset’ and he’s in paradise.

Certain songs move people and this song does it for CB.  It sends him big time.  Instantly, he feels good when he hears it.  A Ray Davies and Kinks’ classic.  Can’t say how much I like this.  Is there a better song?  Maybe?

The Kinks have so many great tunes and this is one of them.  Babyhead likes everything about it.  He’s never been to Waterloo but when he hears this song he’s there.

“Waterloo sunsets fine…”

And CB is in paradise again.  Beautiful!

Waterloo station is a bit of a crap place to watch a sunset from really.
This song, though, is a belter

I’m having a good laugh at that one. Nothing like a reality check. Maybe Ray got his geography mixed up. Sheffield maybe?

CB, didn’t realize you had done this one. I have my own take on it today.

I’m popping over to have a look. I think we will be in agreement. An all time CB fave.

This is my favorite song by the Kinks. It’s pretty damn close to a perfect song…this one and Life On Mars by Bowie just astound me.
