Single : Payday Blues – Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks

This was CB’s theme song for a long time.  Absolutely dug this single.  He could relate to everything in it.

Loved Dan’s style, his delivery and the Hot Licks are fantastic.  Sid Page and John Girton add the licks on this one.  This song is stamped in CB’s brain.  Hicks has a little chat to the bartender in the song.  Great stuff!
